Meditation has had a profound effect on my life. For years, I’ve immersed myself in the world of meditation, exploring countless techniques. Each practice serves a unique purpose, whether it’s relaxation, mental clarity, or simply being present. I firmly believe that meditation is the ultimate self-care hobby. Here are my favorites:

  • Non-Sleep Deep Rest (NSDR) by Andrew Huberman

The man of science who’s enlightening the world with his podcasts, Andrew Huberman. First of all, this NSDR is just amazing. It can restore your energy, help you fall asleep, or help you get back to sleep after waking up. No, it’s not magic — but it kind of is. Some might argue whether this is meditation or not, but according to me, it definitely is. Meditation is about awareness, and you become aware by trying to be fully present and focusing on a particular thing. I often use this when I need my body to relax, feel good after a restless night, or need to go to sleep. This is backed by science, and you can listen to Huberman to learn more about it.

  • 20 Minute Guided Meditation — Clear the Clutter to Calm Down by The Mindful Movement

I have been practicing this for years, and I absolutely love this meditation. I practice it when there’s too much going on in my mind. It’s bliss. It’s a combination of body relaxation and clearing the mind clutter through visualization. This meditation is also about 20 minutes long.

  • Deep Blissful Relaxation Guided Meditation (30 Minutes)

This is one of the best guided meditations I’ve ever experienced. It is 30 minutes of pure bliss. I believe different lengths of meditation can be practiced for different purposes according to your time availability. This 30-minute meditation takes you on a relaxation journey through visualization and body relaxation. It’s my go-to meditation when I am exhausted and need relaxation.

  • Earth Journey Meditation for Deep Relaxation — 1 Hour Long Guided Meditation — Caroline McCready

This meditation is absolutely about what its title suggests — an earth journey. Through visualization, this meditation takes you on a journey in your mind through Mother Nature. If I have one hour and I want to practice meditation, this is my go-to meditation. It’s literally like experiencing a relaxing VR game in your mind. It’s one of the different kinds of meditation I have practiced, and I love it.

  • 30 Minute Guided Meditation for Mindfulness

This one’s about mindfulness. It will make you experience and observe your thoughts in your own mind. It surely makes you mindful about what’s going on in your mind and your thoughts by focusing on your breath and watching your thoughts. I practice it when I want to become mindful. It can have various benefits like making you more aware of the present moment, more focused, more relaxed, or calmer.

I practice these different guided meditations regularly. I believe doing only one kind of meditation can be beneficial but can be boring at times for me. So I practice a mix of these, and I never get bored of meditating. It’s the best thing I do for myself.
